Blog Post 8: Recreate

.   People get surprised when they see this photograph  (upper) because it makes them wonder. How can eleven workers look so casual and relaxed while they are sitting on a beam 850 feet above the ground. Some people believed that it was a hoax but surprisingly it is the real thing. However, there is a catch to this famous photograph. A photographer intentionally sat the eleven men on this beam to advertise the near-completion of what is now the GE building. We conclude that this image is real but it only captures what the photographer wanted to portray. The lower picture is a comical version of the photograph "Lunch Atop a Skyscraper". In this photograph I edited out the men and replaced them with soccer players that were originally sitting on the bench. This goes to show that almost anyone can alter the reality of a photograph.
